Update: Version 1.1.0
Hello everyone!
Today I'm releasing a small QoL update for the Aseprite Normal Shading extension. It includes some bugfixes and compatibility issues with other plugins.
Changes:
Version 1.1.0
- Renamed Menu Item to 'Normal Mapping (Shading)'
- Updated UI in an attempt to improve user experience
- Output layer will be automatically generated if it doesn't exist already
- Made all variables & methods members of the Shader object to avoid potential conflicts with other extensions
- Fixed a bug where the calculation is wrong if the images are not exactly the same size (since images are not necessarily the same as sprite size)
A big update for this extension is currently in the works. I'm working on adding the ability to calculate shading from various light sources placed in your scene.
Further, I'm currently working on getting a Normal Map Toolkit extension ready, it comes with the ability the create normal maps from already existing sprites!
